Residence Halls Network Connectivity NOTICE
This
is an important notice for students with personal
computers who have a room in the residence halls.
All students
living on-campus in William Paterson University's residence
halls can have access to the University's computer network
and the Internet from their room. Please, follow the instructions below to obtain network access
this semester.
1. Returning
students who had network access from previous semesters
must fill in the "Residence Hall Access Request Form"
located
on the student service web page under the "Resnet Access"
button . This information is required
in order to re-activate your connection. No fee will be
charged.
2. First-time
residence hall students, and those who did not have
personal computers connected to the network in previous semesters,
must submit a one time $50 fee to activate the service. To
request the optional network access in your room you must
must fill in the "Residence Hall Access Request Form"
located
on the
student service web page
under the "Resnet Access" button. This information is required
in order to activate your connection. A $50 fee will be
charged automatically on your student bill after you complete
the form.
The web
based procedure will require your student ID and PIN number
and will prompt you through a few easy to follow steps to
obtain network connectivity. You may do this throughout the
semester using any Internet service providers or directly
from the computers available in computer labs on campus. Details
an all information you need are provided on the web pages
and will also be available handouts provided when you move
into the residence hall.
