Chapter 172, P.L. 2003 provides certain part-time employees and part-time faculty members eligibility for enrollment for coverage in the State Health Benefits Program (SHBP), provided that the part-time employee is a member of a State-administered retirement system. The employee can only enroll in NJ DIRECT and the Employee Prescription Drug Plan. If an employee elects to enroll they must pay the full cost of the coverage. There are no dental plans available to part time employees.
