We all have to do it at home, so why not at work?
This is our other home.
William Paterson University does recycle.
We recycle mixed paper - any office paper white or colored, junk mail, magazines, regular and window envelopes, glossy inserts, newspapers and telephone books..
We recycle cardboard - just flatten out the boxes and place them near the recycling bins.
We recycle glass bottles; aluminum cans, cleaned tin & steel cans; and plastic bottles that are marked with the #1 or #2 recycling symbol on them.
We reuse packing peanuts - just leave them in a cardboard box near the recycling bins for pick up.
All this is done from the convenience of your desk or common recycling points within the buildings. It will be collected by the Custodial Staff during normal cleaning times. If you have a large volume that cannot wait, please call the Custodial Supervisor for the building - they will handle the situation.
Most desks have a small BUDDY can that attaches to your individual recycling container. This BUDDY can is for your TRASH or WASTE and should have a trash liner in it. In an office setting the bulk of disposable items should be recyclable - the larger can without liner.
