On Campus Calls:
All campus numbers begin with the same area code and exchange: (973)-720-xxxx.
To make any on campus calls, just dial the last 4 digits of the number.
Example: 720-8888, just dial 8888.
Off Campus
Calls:
For all off campus calls you must remember to dial a 9 before the number
and your personal identification number (PIN) after the number.

Additional Information / Policy
Your telephone number is provided to you from this department and the University. You are not allowed to use this number to order any outside services such as voice mail, long distance services etc. If you receive a call asking to sign up
for any such services, DO NOT accept!
You are also not allowed to make or receive any collect, operator assisted, or third party calls. You are not permitted to charge any calls to your number if you are off campus. This is considered third party billing. All of these actions are against University policy. We obtain a monthly record and you will be billed for any such calls or services charged to your telephone number, plus a $25.00 administrative fee per occurrence.
Please note that you will be billed and are responsible for all calls/services charged to your number.
411
You are able to make a 411 information phone call. You need to dial 9
first, then 411, then your PIN.
911
If there is an emergency and you dial 911 or 9-911, all your calls are
directed to University Police. University Police is able to determine
the location of the emergency and the dispatch officer can then request
the necessary services and/or back-up from the proper town (North Haledon
or Wayne).
