What is music?
William Paterson University is home to one of the best music programs in the country. Students have the opportunity to study with world-renown faculty in small classes in close proximity to New York City. The department offers programs which lead to a Bachelor of Music with options to study classical performance, jazz studies and performance, music education, music management, and sound engineering arts. A Bachelor of Arts is offered with an option in musical studies. The department prides itself on preparing students for the multi-faceted demands of today’s music world with skill, technique and professionalism.
