Internships contribute to the student's educational experience. There are a multitude of benefits to the employer: Serves as an excellent pre-screening device for hiring potential full-time employees. Proves to be cost efficient by reducing training costs and increasing employee retention rates. Contributes to a more diversified workplace. Facilitates work on projects otherwise not possible.

- be placed in an hard copy binder viewable to students during
normal department hours
- and entered into our internet database, maintained by our department,
viewable 24 hours a day by students (at no fee for the employer).

On-Campus Recruitment for School Districts
Participate in our OCR program offered during the Spring semester. Interview students on campus for full-time entry-level positions during the month of April. School districts and companies can contact Sharon Rosengart, Director, rosengarts@wpunj.edu; to schedule an on-campus recruiting date.
Student Center Table
Set up a table in the Student Center to recruit students for part-time and temporary positions. Contact our Community Service-Job Location and Development Coordinator for further information.
Job Fair
The Career Development and Gloria S. Williams Advisement Center holds an annual job fair (Opportunity Fest). An Opportunity Fest is a job fair in which companies can recruit for full-time, part-time, internship and summer positions. The Opportunity Fest is held on the last Thursday in March of each year. Invitations are mailed out at the end of October and the beginning of January. If your company or organization would like an invitation to this event, please email your interest to cruzpault@wpunj.edu.
Nursing Fair
Annually the Career Development and Gloria S. Williams Advisement Center holds a Nursing Career Fair for William Paterson students. The Nursing Career Fair is held in February of each year. If your hospital is interested in being represented at this year’s fair please send an email to cruzpault@wpunj.edu stating your interest. Invitations for this event are mailed out at the end of October.
Speakers Bureau
Serve as a guest lecturer to faculty, students or staff in your field of expertise. Compile a list of professionals from within your organization who would be willing to speak on selected topics.
Job Matching
The Career Development Center maintains a web resume database. Students enter their resumes on-line selecting individual job targets. We will conduct a search for full-time career opportunities and fax them to you within 3 days. Give us your search requirements and we will review our student database.
