When scheduling an appointment for an interview, request that information about the company and job be sent to you or pick it up yourself.

Ask for annual reports, brochures, magazine or newspaper articles, etc., and especially the job description. This will not only help you prepare, but it will separate you from the others who did not ask for the information, read the information and prepare notes.

Think about how the interview might go. Prepare your questions and responses to anticipated questions.

Repeat this process until you are confident that you are as prepared as you can be.

Ask for directions to where you are going and how long it will take to get there.

Allow ample time for travel.

Arrive five to ten minutes early.
