WHY
WILLIAM PATERSON UNIVERSITY?
The Christos M.
Cotsakos College of Business has recently received accreditation from AACSB International – The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business – this is the premium accrediting agency for undergraduate and graduate academic programs in business. There are fewer than 500 business schools worldwide that are accredited by AACSB International. The College has established itself as a leader among programs of business: curricula are continually undergoing review and revision, professional enrichment opportunities are increasing the awareness and readiness of our student body for entry to the business arena, and new programs are preparing our students for rewarding careers in an international and culturally diverse marketplace.
The E*TRADE Financial Learning Center, one of the few trading rooms
found in an academic environment, is the hub of all electronic business
information exchange and analysis for the College and its partners.
Every student will have exposure to and hands-on training with software,
databases, and datafeeds that form the backbone of modern day practitioner-driven
information dissemination and analysis tools. The College is housed
in the University’s newest building, 1600 Valley Road, an
ultramodern facility that provides state-of-the-art learning resources
to support our technologically oriented programs. Seminars and forums,
such as the Business Leaders’ Symposium, the Finance Symposium,
and the Enterprise Case Study Competition provide opportunities
for students to network with successful business professionals.
In addition, credit earning practicum small-group consulting opportunities
with small businesses, internship experiences, and job shadowing
opportunities bear the earmarks of a program of business designed
to encourage student success and prepare William Paterson students
for meaningful and productive careers upon graduation.
