Phi Alpha Theta Regional Conference for Eastern Pensylvania and New Jersey, 2009 [pdf]

Phi Alpha Theta Regional Conference Registration, 2009 [pdf]

Phi Alpha Theta is an international honor society in History, organized 17 March 1921. Since that time it has grown to over eight hundred chapters in the US with more than a quarter million initiates-- more than any other collegiate honor society.

Phi Alpha Theta is composed of students and professors who have been selected on the basis of excellence in the study and writing of History. At the same time, Phi Alpha Theta is a professional society whose objective is promoting the study of History through research, teaching, and the exchange of learning among historians. It seeks to bring students, teachers, and writers of History together. Phi Alpha Theta encourages and assists historical research as well as publication by its members.

Rho Alpha Chapter was established at William Paterson in 1968. Since that time, its members have been involved in all aspects of university affairs.
