Offered in collaboration with the College of Arts and Communication; the Liberal Studies Major is housed in the Department of Philosophy (located in Atrium) and directed by Professor Ben Vilhauer.

Asian Studies Faculty Meet with Alum and Her Students
Peggy Stewart '9, now a teacher at Vernon Township High School, visited the campus with a group of her students who were planning a trip to China during the summer 2006. The trip is part of a Fulbright grant she received. Dean Isabel Tirado, and Asian Studies faculty Prof. Yingcong Dai and Prof. Ming Jian met with the students and spoke to them about Chinese history and culture.

Asian Festival Celebrated the Colors of Springtime
Holi, a festival of colors held in the spring in India and Nepal, was observed on campus on March 9, 2006. The use of colors for face painting is an integral part of the holiday celebration. Read more
