A conference addressing New Jersey’s overlapping urban, suburban, and rural ideals and constituencies will be held on Monday, October 17, 2005 at William Paterson University, 1600 Valley Road building, Wayne, N.J., from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Achievements ![]() Ming Fay, art, recently presented a workshop to sculpture students in Shengyang, China from the Luxan Academy of Art. The students worked on a group project making branch boats which they then launched into the river. More achievements Research Project Seeks University Employees with Stories About Organ Donation Do you have a story to tell about organ donation? William Paterson is one of 45 New Jersey institutions participating in The New Jersey Workplace Partnership for Life. Funded by a grant from the U.S. Division of Transplantation of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the project is designed to research the most effective methods to increase organ donation levels in the workplace. |
Bill Cosby Dream Band, Featuring Clark Terry and Jimmy Heath, to Perform in Benefit Concert on November 8 to Support the Creation of the Clark Terry Concert Hall at William Paterson The Bill Cosby Dream Band, featuring jazz legend Clark Terry, fellow jazz great Jimmy Heath, Terry’s Titans of Jazz Big Band, William Paterson University students and other surprise guests, will perform in a benefit jazz concert on Tuesday, November 8 at 8:00 p.m. in Shea Center at William Paterson University in Wayne.
Goldie Hawn, the Oscar-winning actor and philanthropist, brought her talent for connecting with young people to William Paterson University on September 26, during a lecture uplinked live from the Nicholas Martini Teleconference Center, to students at more than 300 colleges and universities throughout the United States and Canada. Ben Shahn Gallery Exhibit Focuses on 150 Years of Women's Collegiate Fashion as part of University's 150th Anniversary Celebration
The history of women’s collegiate fashion in the context of a dynamic American culture is the focus of a new exhibit, “Revelation and Revolution: 150 Years of Women’s Collegiate Fashion,” on view in William Paterson University’s Ben Shahn Galleries from September 12 through November 25, 2005. The exhibit, held as part of the University’s celebration of its 150th anniversary during 2005, is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. |
