The Bill Cosby Dream Band, featuring jazz legend Clark Terry, fellow jazz great Jimmy Heath, Terry’s Titans of Jazz Big Band, and William Paterson University students, joined together on November 8 in a special fund-raising musical performance to benefit the creation of the Clark Terry Concert Hall at the University. The event drew a full house in Shea Center on campus.
William Paterson University to Host Annual Thanksgiving Dinner for Senior Citizens on November 19 More than 350 senior citizens from northern New Jersey are expected to attend William Paterson University's Eighth Annual Senior Citizens Thanksgiving Dinner on Saturday, November 19 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at The Brownstone in Paterson.
Baseball support person Roger Clarke ('54, M.A. '62) and former softball/women's basketball/women's soccer standout Dana Feltz-Schwartz ('00) were inducted into the William Paterson University Alumni Association Athletic Hall of Fame at the organization's 26th annual banquet on Nov. 7.

More than 430 William Paterson University faculty, staff and alumni celebrated the University’s Sesquicentennial during a gala evening on Friday, November 11. The sell-out crowd gathered at The Brownstone House in Paterson for this final event of the institution’s 150th anniversary celebration.
High Mountain Symphony Season Continues On November 20
The High Mountain Symphony at William Paterson University in Wayne continues its 2005-2006 concert season on Sunday, November 20, 2005 with a performance at 3:00 p.m. in Shea Center on campus. Tomasz Golka, winner of the 2003 Eduardo Mata Conducting Competition, will be the guest conductor. University Sponsors Arts Events on Campus The William Paterson University Performing Arts Theatre Series presents “Blithe Spirit,” a twentieth century classic by Noël Coward, at the Hunziker Black Box Theatre on campus from December 2 to 10. On Sunday, December 3, the University will present a Jazz Nativity, featuring Slide Hampton, Jimmy Slyde, and Dave Valentin as the three kings. The William Paterson University Choir and the William Paterson University Chamber Singers will present a winter concert on Tuesday, December 6 at 8 p.m. in the Shea Center for Performing Arts. Mr. Snowman, the tale of a snowman who magically comes to life will be staged on December 11.News Anchor Dan Rather Speaks at Distinguished Lecturer Series

| Football Finishes Finest Season Since 1993 With 14-10 Win Over Husson Under the guidance of first-year head coach Mike Miello, William Paterson won its final three regular-season games and finished the 2005 season 5-5 after defeating Husson College, 14-10, in its season finale on Nov. 12 at Wightman Stadium. It was the Pioneers’ first .500-or-better season since 1993. |
Women’s Soccer’s Kurdyla Named NJAC Rookie of the Year Volleyball’s Shears Earns Fourth First-Team All-NJAC Selection William Paterson University senior outside hitter Lauren Shears was named to the New Jersey Athletic Conference Volleyball first team for the fourth straight year, the only Pioneer to ever achieve four consecutive first-team citations. Shears is one of 24 players in NCAA Division III history with 2,000 or more kills. |
