SUMMER 2008 FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION PROCESS

In order to apply for financial aid to cover your expenses for the Summer 2008 enrollment sessions, please follow the instructions below;

Summer financial aid consists primarily of student loans, based on your remaining eligibility from this current 2007-2008 academic year. Eligibility for student loans is based on a minimum of half time attendance, 2007-08 FAFSA on file and meeting federal standards of Satisfactory Academic Progress. If you drop below half-time at any point in the summer, you risk the cancellation of your award.

If you do not qualify for sufficient financial aid to cover your summer balance, alternative student loans are available. Information about these loans is available in print in the Financial Aid Office, or on the financial aid web site.

  • Click the summer application link below and complete the application online.

  • Enroll for a minimum of six (6) credits, undergraduate, or five (5) credits if you are a graduate student by July 5th. All students must maintain half time attendance to qualify for student loans. Please note: Your summer application will remain unprocessed until you formally register for summer classes.

  • Have a processed 2007-2008 Financial Aid Application (FAFSA) on file in the Financial Aid Office by June 30, 2008.

  • Be making satisfactory academic progress.

  • Be in a matriculated program.

  • Have not exhausted funding eligibility for student loans and/or Pell Grant during the 2007-08 Academic Year.

Check your account on WPCONNECT for award and billing information. You WILL NOT be mailed a paper award notification letter.
