** Effective January 1994 students will no longer be able to choose elementary education as a major. Students already enrolled in this major will be able to finish their Bachelors program as elementary education majors. Entering students will choose an academic major and pursue teacher certification (professional development) courses.

Effective September 1994 Sociology & Anthropology are two separate degree programs. Students entering the College will chose either Anthropology or Sociology as a major. Students already enrolled as Sociology/Anthropology majors, who are upper division students, may elect to finish their degree programs as Sociology/Anthropology majors.

Effective September 1995 entering undergraduate students will no longer be able to choose dramatic arts, economics, liberal studies and speech pathology as majors. Students already enrolled in these major will be able to finish their bachelors programs in these majors. Entering graduate students will no longer be able to chose educational administration & supervision, social science and urban education & community service. Those students already enrolled in these graduate programs will be able to finish their programs.
