What’s New?

Connecting to the Network is changing!  A new network authentication and validation security system is in place to prevent “infected” computer systems such as laptops or desktops from gaining access to the network and infecting other systems.  This will ensure a safe, secure and reliable network for you.

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Logon to the Network

Enter your username and password to logon to the network. If you do not have your username and password, please contact your Computer Services HelpDesk.

  1. Download the Cisco Clean Access Agent (only for the first time)

Once your username and password have been verified, you will be prompted to download and install the Clean Access Agent*.

After the installation is completed, a Clean Access Agent icon will appear in your system tray. If the Clean Access Agent fails to install, please see Troubleshooting section or contact your Computer Services HelpDesk.

  1. Validating and Updating

To logon (or logoff) to the network, right click on the Clean Access Agent icon.

The Clean Access Agent will automatically validate your system configurations to ensure that you have current operating system patches, anti-virus and other security updates.

If the validation is successful, you will be logged onto the network.

If the validation is not successful, you will be directed to a remediation site such as Windows Updates. You need to update your system or security files at that time.  Depending on the security updates, you may need to reboot your computer several times.

* Note: Non-Windows systems or older Windows will not need to download the Clean Access Agent. The validation will be conducted via a network scan.
