Sandra Deller is responsible for providing overall leadership, management and
coordination of the University's fund raising, alumni affairs, public relations,
marketing and publications programs. She brings more than twenty years of progressively
responsible experience in the areas of fund raising, institutional advancement,
development and public relations to the institution. Most recently, she held
the position of assistant vice president of principal gifts at Case Western
Reserve University (CWRU) in Cleveland, Ohio, a private, research institution
with an endowment of more than $1.4 billion. In that role, she was the senior
development officer reporting to the CWRU president. Sandra is a graduate of
Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Stuart Goldstein manages the University’s Marketing and Public Relations
department and serves as the department’s liaison to the development
and alumni relations offices. He joined the University in 1999. Previously,
Stuart was director of the university news service at the University of Medicine
and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) and vice president of G.S. Schwartz & Co.,
a public relations agency in New York City. He earned a master's degree in
journalism from Penn State and a bachelor of arts degree in communication arts
from the University of Wisconsin.

Joanne Nigrelli is responsible for enhancing and overseeing
stewardship and cultivation programs, including planned
giving, major gifts, and the annual fund, among other University
fund raising efforts. Previously, she was senior associate
director of development for the Faculty of Arts and Sciences,
Rutgers College. Prior to that, she served in a number
of fund-raising capacities at Seton Hall University and
Fairleigh Dickinson University, most recently as director
of alumni relations. Joanne holds a bachelor's degree
in business administration from Seton Hall and a master's
degree in business administration from Fairleigh Dickinson.
Patrick DeDeo

Patrick DeDeo is the University's liaison to government officials at the
federal, State and local levels as well as the business community and
other outside constituents. He joined the University in 2005. Previously, he served as a state and federal lobbyist for Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey. Pat holds a master of science degree in juris prudence from the Seton Hall University School of Law, a master of public administration from Seton Hall University, and a bachelor of science degree from St. John's University, New York.

Sam Griggs is responsible for directing the University’s corporate and foundation fundraising program, developing individual donor relationships and managing the annual fund, data administration, donor relations and prospect research. His decade of university relations experience includes responsibilities in alumni relations, marketing, and fundraising. Sam holds a bachelor’s degree from Rice University and master’s degrees from The New England Conservatory and St. John’s University. He joined the William Paterson team in April 2007.

Spencer Scott is responsible for the expansion of the planned giving program. Previously, Spencer served as executive director of development for East Orange General Hospital and director of development at First Occupational Center of New Jersey and St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center. He also served as director for university advancement at the New Jersey Institute of Technology and assistant director of development for The Salvation Army New Jersey Divisional Headquarters. Spencer also served as president of the Association of Fundraising Professionals New Jersey Chapter and is still a member of the Board of Directors.

Nancy Norville joined the Institutional Advancement team
in November 1999. She has been a member of the University
community since 1986. Her addition to the staff provides
further attention to increasing philanthropic gifts for the
University. Nancy previously served as dean of Enrollment
Management with oversight for the undergraduate admissions,
financial aid, scholarship and career development functions.
She currently represents the University as a board of director from the Tri-County
Chamber of Commerce.

Barbara Stomber is responsible for gift acknowledgments, donor reporting, and recognition. She works closely with the donor to assure that donor needs and inquiries are addressed to their satisfaction. Barbara serves as the liaison to the Office of Scholarships and also serves as senior class advisor. Barbara joined the Institutional Advancement staff in 2000 after serving 17 years at the University, including 11 years as the Student Government Association financial advisor. She received her bachelor of arts degree in Business Administration from William Paterson and earned a master's degree in Anthropology from Montclair State.
Meredith McCarthy

Meredith McCarthy assumed the position of Associate Director of Annual Fund in April 2008. She is a key player on the University’s Advancement team, coordinating and managing the University’s annual fund programs, senior class gift program and bi-annual phonathon. Meredith actively works with Alumni Relations in developing alumni engagement programs and promotes the use of the University’s online community Web pages. She joined William Paterson as manager of special events in 2004. Previously, she spent eight years as a senior account executive in Manhattan in the field of special events.

Diana Krohnert joined William Paterson University in July
2004. She is responsible for the management of the
alumni/development database as well as financial reporting
and overseeing gift processing. Diana brings over 25 years
of development experience to William Paterson. Previously she was the
associate director of development operations at Seton Hall
University. She also held the positions of system administrator,
assistant director of annual fund and assistant director
of alumni at Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Lourdes Bastas is responsible for the development, coordination, and publicity of activities and programs sponsored by the University and Foundation, including the Distinguished Lecturer Series and Legacy Award Dinner. Lourdes provides training and advice in areas such as protocol, facility use, logistical coordination, and budget supervision as it relates to special events. Prior to joining William Paterson in June 2008, Lourdes was the assistant director of Alumni Relations at Weill Cornell Medical College of Cornell University. Lourdes received her Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University and a Master of Professional Studies from New York Institute of Technology.

Lynn Lazar joined the William Paterson University Foundation
in November, 2004. She is responsible for heading up the
newly created prospect management area of the Foundation
to help further the University’s goal in advancing
fundraising efforts. Prior to joining William Paterson, Lynn had an 11-year
career as the director of philanthropic research with the
New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) in Newark, NJ.
In that position, she oversaw the research needs for the
Arts Center’s $200 million
capital campaign and its $11.5 million annual campaign.

Yvette Viera Villanueva joined William Paterson University in April 2008. She is responsible for the business related oversight of operations and management of all financial reporting activities that occur within the division of Institutional Advancement and the William Paterson University Foundation. Previously, Yvette had a 20 year career at Barnert Hospital in Paterson, NJ where she held various positions, most recently as manager of budget, grants, and reimbursement. She received her bachelor of arts degree in accounting from William Paterson University.
