Women's Center Mission
The Women's Center works to increase the understanding of gender issues, to empower students to explore options in their lives, and to motivate the campus community toward greater involvement in these issues as leaders, allies, and agents of change.
Women's Center Goals
·To support women's equity and achievment towards intellectual, professional, and personal goals.
· To participate in the formulation and review of campus policies, procedures, and programs relating to gender equity between men and women.
· To serve as a link to existing campus and community services.
· To enhance students' lives through programs addressing the diverse backgrounds and experiences of all people.
Women's Center as a Resource
The Women's Center is part of WPUNJ's on-going commitment to the elimination of barriers, prejudice and bigotry and the creation of a supportive climate for all people. By providing resources to other areas of the university, the Women's Center works to create a campus community in which issues of gender and diversity are addressed in all aspects of a student's education.
Women's Center Library
The Women's Center acts as a campus clearing house for information and resources relevant to gender issues. The Women's Center houses a resource room that includes books, magazines, and periodicals available for student use.
