A Boy, A Girl, A Virus and the Relationship That Happened Anyway:
Learn firsthand what can happen when two people become activists and fall in love against the odds. Shawn Decker contracted HIV as a boy through tainted blood products. Gwen Barringer met him as she was doing AIDS activist work and they fell in love. Today...they are married and continue their valuable work educating many young people about HIV/AIDS.
Thursday, November 29th 9:00am - 5:00pm at the University Commons Entrance
The Quilt Returns: Portions of the AIDS Quilt will be on display in honor of those lost to the terrible disease. In addition to the Quilt, we will be handing out information and other materials all day.
Thursday, November 29th 4:00pm at the University Commons 2nd Floor Lobby
Candlelight Vigil: The annual ceremony unites members of the community in a solemn ceremony as we recall those lost to AIDS and those living with HIV. This year we have a special appearance by the WPUNJ Gospel Choir.
