Moscow Ballet’s 'Great Russian Nutcracker' returns to William Paterson University on December 2


The Moscow Ballet brings the holiday classic ballet Great Russian Nutcracker to William Paterson University in Wayne on Monday, December 2 at 7:00 p.m. in the Shea Center for Performing Arts on campus.

With world-class artists, over 200 dazzling costumes, nearly 80 professional dancers, stunning sets, towering puppets and soaring birds, Moscow Ballet’s acclaimed Great Russian Nutcracker has become a holiday tradition in households across America. The show evokes a simpler time filled with sweet dreams and Christmas magic in this production of the classic story set to the famous score by Tchaikovsky.

The Moscow Ballet, an independent Russian-owned company, has toured across North America and Canada since 1993, and performs 100 engagements each year. The company also offers other well-known classic ballets performances, such as Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Swan Lake. 

Tickets are $69 for front orchestra, $59 for rear orchestra, $59 for loge, and $49 for rear loge. Premium ticket packages at $175 for Platinum and $110 for Gold are available for purchase until November 18, 2019 by calling the Shea Center Box Office at 973-720-2371.

Platinum ticket buyers will receive a premium nutcracker ornament, a Moscow Ballet Book and a “Meet and Greet” opportunity with early seating afterward with each ticket purchased. Platinum ticket buyers must meet the Moscow Ballet representative 45 minutes prior to show time at the merchandise table to attend the “Meet and Greet.” Gold ticket buyers will receive a premium nutcracker ornament and the official Moscow Ballet book with each ticket purchased.
