Dear Faculty,

Following up on the Provost’s email from earlier this morning, I’m writing to relay how the IRT’s Center for Teaching with Technology (CTT) stands ready to assist you to be ready for remote instruction.

Workshop Today, Thursday, March 12

The CTT Instructional Designers, Robert Harris, Jae Kim, and Housen Maratouk, will be holding a remote instruction workshop today from 12:30 – 2:00 in the Center for Teaching with Technology (Library 120k).

One-on-one Consultations (Ongoing this week, throughout Spring Break, and afterward)

For a one-on-one consultation about remote instruction using Blackboard, please make a Help Desk ticket at wpunj.edu/helpdesk. Choose the Blackboard ticket type and then CTT Faculty Consultation. This is the best way to set up a time to work with one of the CTT instructional designers. If you are not going to be on campus, ask for a Blackboard Collaborate remote session for your consultation.

Spring Break Workshops

Due to the volume of faculty members needing training on remote instruction, the CTT has decided to hold workshops over Spring Break. These will be held every day from Monday, March 16 to Friday, March 20, from 10:00 – 11:30 and 2:00 – 3:30. Please note that these workshops will be held in Atrium 114.

Post-Spring Break Workshops – Faculty Remote Instruction In-Service Days

On Monday, March 23 and Tuesday, March 24, the CTT will be holding remote instruction workshops: 10:00 am - 11:30 am, 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm, and 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm. All workshops will take place in the Library room L01.

Should your students need help with Blackboard, please direct them to the Blackboard for Students page on the ITwiki. Help is available for them too!
