Provost-heading

March 22, 2020

Dear Students,

Supporting your academic success at this challenging time is paramount, and many here at WP have been working intensively in this regard. Below is important information from Information Technology regarding remote connectivity as well as the Cheng Library’s online services.

Joshua Powers
Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs

From Information Technology:

We have been actively working to provide you guidance on remote connectivity, particularly since we have been directed by the state to close on-campus computer labs. Recognizing that at home connectivity circumstances may vary, you may be sharing home bandwidth with siblings and family members, and you may have device considerations (computer vs. tablet vs. mobile device), we built a website where you can find helpful information on these topics. In addition, we have launched a computer loan program with a limited supply of computers available. Click on this application link to submit a request.

To help you get ready for classes starting Wednesday, you should hear from your professors shortly, if you have not already. Follow their directions. Here is a link to help you get ready for online learning for Blackboard courses, but check with your professor on exactly how they will be delivering their course.

If you need help, please don’t hesitate to contact us at the Information Technology Helpdesk (973-720-4357, wpunj.edu/helpdesk.)

Sincerely,

The Information Technology Staff
