As a William Paterson student, you will have access to some of the most powerful academic and career resources and development tools available. We strive to always add services to enrich your overall college experience.

  • Career Development Center:
    From freshman course selection and resume review to job fairs, our goal is for you to obtain the career you have set out to accomplish.
  • Technology Services:
    In and out of the classroom, the University provides a wireless campus and a wide range of technology services for students.
  • Counseling, Health, and Wellness Center:
    The University offers personal, confidential, and free counseling, health care services, and health education to all students.
    • Staffed by licensed counselors, nurses, and physicians
    • 24/7 hotline is also available
  • Academic Support:
    Provides free walk-in tutoring in most general education subjects to help students achieve academic success. Students meet with tutors individually or in small groups.
  • Student Enrollment Services:
    This office provides you with one-stop convenience for all your financial aid, billing, and transcript needs.
  • Learning Communities:
    Beginning in Fall 2017, as a first-year student at William Paterson, you will have the opportunity to sign up to study in a learning community centered around your area of academic interest-taking common classes with a group of fellow students and participating in activities together outside the classroom. Learning communities will be available in a variety of academic areas for both commuter and resident students; if you choose to reside on campus, you will be housed together in the same residence hall with your fellow learning community members. Special learning communities are available for first-year students in the University Honors College. Participating in a learning community provides the chance to make friends, develop an academic and social support network among your peers, interact with faculty outside the classroom, and become engaged in campus life.

  • David and Lorraine Cheng Library:
    The David and Lorraine Cheng Library offers a wide variety of in-person and online resources and services, with a highly trained, expert staff dedicated to helping you develop the information research skills you need to achieve success. The Cheng Library offers more than 360,000 print and online volumes; more than 17,000 audiovisual items including DVD and streaming video; access to 35,000-plus electronic and print periodicals and journals; as well as approximately 100 databases that serve the research needs of the University's students.
