Alcohol-Wise Alcohol-Wise What is Alcohol-Wise? Alcohol-Wise is an online alcohol abuse prevention program designed specifically for college students. The program aims to help students clarify their thinking about alcohol and make healthy decisions by empowering students to make well-informed decisions and provides simple strategies to help keep students safe, if they choose to drink. It is a confidential, personalized experience for each student. Who is the target audience for Alcohol-Wise? Alcohol-Wise is a requirement of all first year students and transfer students with less than 12 credits. All students are expected to complete the course in the given timeline. Students will not be permitted to register for the following semesters classes unless they fulfill this requirement. What does Alcohol-Wise look like? Alcohol-Wise is made up of 2 parts. Part 1 contains modules 1,2,3,4 and takes about 1 hour to complete. Part 2 which contains module 5 is a 15 minute follow-up and becomes available 30 days after completing Part 1. Alcohol-Wise includes: • Helpful tools like blood alcohol concentration (BAC) calculator and map of US laws. • Safe partying strategies and tips for helping a friend. • Alcohol-related content featuring student experiences, videos and more. • Online help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. • Unique feedback based on the individual student’s alcohol behavior and opinions. • Personalized drinking profile. • Campus specific information so students know where to get help or ask questions. Login Directions for Alcohol-Wise 1. Login to WP Connect with your student email address and password 2. Select the Students tab 3. Locate Campus Life and then locate and click on Alcohol-Wise 4. 3rd Millennium Student Homepage will open 5. Complete the program IMPORTANT! If you fail to complete this program before the deadline, a HOLD will be placed on your student account, preventing you from withdrawing from a course or registering for next semester.
