WP Presents “Welcome Back My Friends! The Return of Emerson, Lake & Palmer” on November 22

More than 50 years after their debut, the legendary progressive rock trio Emerson, Lake & Palmer reunite through the magic of specially edited concert footage and synched audio for a concert at William Paterson University in Wayne on Tuesday, November 22 at 8 p.m. in the Shea Center for Performing Arts on campus.

Drummer Carl Palmer—performing live on stage—will be surrounded by rare video footage from the vaults of his late bandmates Keith Emerson and Greg Lake, which will be projected on state-of-the-art LED screens for this unique concert.

Using previously unseen footage of the band at London’s Royal Albert Hall in 1992, Palmer will play with his departed bandmates once again as they perform their classic rock hits “Welcome Back My Friends,” “Lucky Man,” “From the Beginning,” “Knife-Edge,” “Fanfare for the Common Man,” and more. This tour has the full blessing of the Emerson and Lake estates.

After establishing themselves in bands such as The Nice, King Crimson, and The Crazy World of Arthur Brown, ELP was formed in early 1970 as one of rock’s first (and biggest) supergroups. With record sales of over 50 million and decades of sold-out tours through the 1970s and again in the 1990s, Emerson Lake & Palmer has remained one of the best-selling classic rock bands of all time.

Tickets are $60, Gold Circle; $50 for orchestra/front loge, and $45, rear loge. There is a 10 percent discount for William Paterson faculty, staff, students, and alumni, as well as senior citizens. All tickets are an additional $5 on the day of the show. To purchase tickets, or for additional information, call the Shea Center for Performing Arts Box Office at 973-720-2371 or visit wp-presents.org.
