Nicholas Montesano '24 Uses 3-D Printing Lab at WP to Create Board Game and Chess Set in Pursuit of his Dream

Nicholas Montesano '24, a public relations major and graphic design minor, found his calling during a freshman year design course he took at William Paterson University. He dreams of designing board games and toys for a living, and the 3-D printing lab inside WP's David and Lorraine Cheng Library is helping him hone his craft.

Montesano has conceptualized, designed, and produced a pandemic-themed chess set and board game, which he hopes will bring some happiness to a difficult time in history.

Here, he talks about his creations in the lab and the support he's received from his professors along the way.
