Her life took a dramatic turn on January 6, 2021, when, at age 24, she found herself in one of the most extraordinary and unprecedented events in modern political history. Hutchinson received national attention after serving as a key witness in the hearings led by the United States House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol in June 2022. Hutchinson detailed her story in her 2023 memoir, Enough (Simon & Schuster).
Originally from Pennington, NJ, Hutchinson is a 2019 graduate of Christopher Newport University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and American studies. She joined the White House Office of Legislative Affairs as an intern during her senior year, a position that became full-time following graduation. She previously interned for former House Republican Whip Steve Scalise and for Senator Ted Cruz.
