The Visual Resources Center (VRC) located in Ben Shahn Center for the Visual Arts 117 will be open for the Fall 2021 semester Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, with safety restrictions in place. We will be following WP’s Coronavirus Prevention and Response Plan and the CDC’s recommended guidelines to help keep you and our community safe. The VRC will be reopening with the following user guidelines in place: Visitors must wear coverings over their nose and mouth before entering the VRC and must maintain social distancing of six feet once inside. If supplies allow, we may offer face coverings to users that do not have them. Those who fail to comply with these safety protocols will be asked to leave the VRC. Hands-free hand sanitizer stations are now located throughout the Ben Shahn Center for the Visual Arts. The Department of Art has purchased PPE for all staff members. University Facilities cleans the entire campus thoroughly on a regular basis and—when cases of COVID-19 become known—deep-cleans and disinfects workspaces and other locations recently occupied by infected persons. The University prohibits visitors who have been abroad, diagnosed with or been exposed to COVID-19, or have been on a cruise ship from entering the campus until they have completed a 14-day quarantine in order to monitor their health and verify they are free from symptoms for 24 hours. If you are feeling ill and experiencing fever, cough, or shortness of breath, please stay safe and remain at home! The Interim Gallery Director reserves the right to limit or refuse admittance as necessary for safety precautions.
