INFORMATION FOR
Past programs have been generously supported by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and made possible by grants from the New Jersey Council for the Humanities, a state partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities. Any views, findings, conclusions or recommendations in this program do not necessarily represent those of the NJSCA, the NEH or the NJCH.
The Department of English at the William Paterson University of New Jersey has been proud to host an annual writer's conference each spring, which in the past has hosted such writers as Rick Moody, Luc Sante, Paul Muldoon, Andre Aciman, Francine Prose, David Means, Terese Svoboda, Anthony Swofford, Russell Banks, Alison Lurie, Judith Ortiz Cofer, Yusef Komunyakaa, Chang-Rae Lee, Kimiko Hahn, Joyce Carol Oates, Sindiwe Magona, and Susan Sontag.
We are now transitioning to a series of virtual workshops and readings in creative writing, literature, and publishing. We welcome participation from scholars in all disciplines, creative writers of all stripes, professional editors, secondary-, middle-, and elementary-level educators, graduate and undergraduate students, and the general public--in short, anyone interested in reading, writing and literature. We also offer Professional Development Hours to New Jersey Educators.
