INFORMATION FOR
WP's Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) is ready to help you obtain external funding that could move you toward a WPUNJ-related personal or professional goal, get a new course or program started, accelerate your research, expand or initiate a new community service or outreach activity. We can provide assistance during all steps leading from your initial idea to beginning work on your funded project.
The first - and possibly the hardest - steps anyone interested in obtaining external support must take are getting to know which agencies are interested in what you are interested in and learning what they are willing to fund. When searching for funding, it is important to to assess where you are in the process and ask questions such as: - Do you have a project in mind?- Do you know what agencies would possibly fund your project?- Are you ready to apply for funding?
Among the five tabs above, you will find information to help at any of these stages: Searching for Funding; Search Tools; Funding Opportunity Announcements; information and links to WP’s Current Funders and Potential Funders; and the Limited Submission process.
Below is a list of potential funding agencies grouped by discipline.
In addition, we are providing the link to WP's Internal Support Programs for sponsored teaching and research support information on ART, research and travel incentive, and graduate/undergraduate research programs as well as a cultivated list of "Finish in Four" opportunities, which focus on undergraduate experiences.

The Office of Sponsored Programs is pleased to introduce the new OSP Reporter. The OSP Reporter is our new blog and communication tool, which replaces the “Funding Opportunities Announcement” newsletter.
Like the Funding Opportunity Announcements, the OSP Reporter provides timely information on funding agencies and opportunities to help you to take the crucial steps towards applying for funding.
The OSP Reporter includes articles highlighting funding agencies and trends in funding, news concerning workshops and conferences, tips for searching for funding and writing and preparing grant proposals, and updates about research and scholarship here at William Paterson.
We will continue to notify the campus community of new information via email. Each message will include links to relevant articles, recent proposals and awards, and a list of upcoming grant opportunities. We will also continue to send special announcements about upcoming events and select funding opportunities.
If you are not already on the mailing list and would like to receive notifications when information on the OSP Reporter site is updated, please email the OSP at grants@wpunj.edu. If you have any questions call us at (973) 720-2852.
