Our residence halls offer modern, co-ed, smoke-free living. At WP, all residence hall rooms are suite style, so you can enjoy the convenience of a private bathroom shared with only one other adjoining room. Apartment-style housing for upperclass students includes full kitchens and furnished living rooms — giving you independence with built-in support.

First year students who are accepted into William Paterson's Honors College Program enjoy the privilege of being placed first in line for the opportunity to reside in High Mountain East Residence Hall. They may choose to room with another Honors College student, or any other student of their choosing — however, the non-Honors College roommate must submit a housing contract and housing deposit early in order to be considered.
Students (any class year) who prefer to live in a substance-free environment, can apply to reside in a special wing of Century Hall reserved for this lifestyle choice. They must complete the Substance-Free Housing application and sign a written agreement in order to be considered.
Gender Inclusive Housing is available to students of legal age (18 years or older) and allows for same-gender or other-gender identities to live together regardless of assigned gender at birth. This provides a living/learning environment where residents can support and explore gender identity and expression in a comfortable and supportive environment. Students within this community primarily reside in Hillside Hall, and must fill out a special application.
Our central dining location: Wayne Dining Hall, conveniently located in the Student Center, features diverse, chef-curated menu options and ample seating for students to meet and connect with each other while enjoying their meals.
Located in the Student Center, our all-you-can eat dining hall provides seven different food cuisine stations to choose from, in addition to a full-service salad bar, soups and desserts.
There are also several other retail food establishments on campus where students can conveniently use their meal plan swipes, such as Bento Sushi, Brother Bruno's, Mi Comida, Einstein Bros. Bagels, and Nonna's Kitchen...just to name a few.
Finally, if you just need to pick up a few snacks, or other over-the-counter convenience items to bring back to your dorm, students can just head to the W-Store, located on the first floor of Century Hall.
We have flexible Weekly, Block (Full Semester), and even Commuter meal plans that can be used at our central Wayne Dining Hall, as well as any of our other popular retail food locations on campus.
