    Set in the jungles of southern India, Mowgli, a boy raised by a pack of wolves, has a life full of adventure and conflict. Joined by his best friends Baloo and Bagheera, Mowgli must confront the notorious tiger, Shere Khan. Kipling’s fantastic story teaches respect for life, both animal and human, and the idea of harmony amongst all living things.

    Trumpeter Ray Vega with the WP Latin Jazz Ensemble

    Ray Vega is a crossover artist, immersed in jazz and salsa. His distinctive trumpet brought him to perform and record with legends like Tito Puente, Paquito D’Rivera, Arturo Sandoval, Larry Harlow, and many more. For this program, Vega will combine his unique sound and deep experiences with the WP Latin Jazz Ensemble, led by veteran faculty member Chico Mendoza.

    Admission: General Public $15 • WP faculty, staff, alumni, and senior citizens $12 • Non-William Paterson students $8
    WP students are admitted free. • All tickets are an additional $3 on show day.

    Each Jazz Room concert is preceded by a “Sittin’ In” meet-the-artist session one hour prior to performance in Shea Recital Hall. Free to all ticket holders. Audience members have a chance to meet and interact with that day’s artist in a question-answer format.

    This unique presentation of Carmina Burana features a dance component that is rarely ever choreographed for this symphonic and vocal masterpiece. The concert features WP music faculty as guest artists: Carl Patrick Bolleia and Bernie Visto, piano; Christopher Dylan Herbert, baritone; David Guzman, tenor; and Chloe Holgate, soprano.

    Vincent Parrillo will be showing film highlights from his PBS documentary, Parrillo will discuss his portrayal of Paterson's thriving arts community, including interviews with Bucky Pizzarelli, legendary guitarist; Frederico Castelluccio, an artist and actor best known for his role as Furio on The Sopranos;and other artists and musicians discussing the influence of Paterson on their work.
