Instruction

Course-related library instruction is available in a variety of formats and topics.

In-person instruction can be held at 1600 Valley, or at the Library. Online instruction can use BlackBoard Collaborate, or another platform.

Topics include:

  • Curriculum resources for lesson planning, print and online
  • Education research
  • APA formatting
  • Copyright do's and don'ts
  • K-12 databases, and strategies for teaching research skills to K-12 students
  • Children's and young adult literature
  • New Jersey curriculum guides

In addition, LibGuides (online research guides) and tutorials are available on many topics.

Interactive Touch Screen

The Curriculum Materials Center recently acquired an interactive touch screen with Ink2Go (screen annotation and recording software). It is housed in the Amy Job Classroom. Teacher candidates who wish to learn how to use this technology can contact Patricia Moore, moorep@wpunj.edu for more information.

Cricut Die Cutting Machine

Cricut (pronounced cricket) is a computerized die cutting machine that can cut letters, numbers and shapes to create professional looking posters, displays and bulletin boards. Make an appointment with CMC Assistant, Patricia Moore, 973-720-2174, or via email at moorep@wpunj.edu for help in learning how to use the Cricut.
