Dr. Elana Klein: I teach Geology and Environmental Sustainability courses at William Paterson University... I started my career as a high school earth science teacher…While working on my dissertation, "Late Pleistocene to Holocene Evolution, Sedimentation Processes, and Anthropogenic Impact of a Coastal System:  Raritan and Sandy Hook Bays, New Jersey," I examined the sediments of Raritan and Sandy Hook Bays to document evidence of past storms, modern heavy metal deposition, as well as the timing of sea level incursion into the bays as sea level rose from glaciers melting at the end of the last ice age.
DONNA.PNG Dr. Donna Rennar-Potacco: Dear Learner, My background is in science education, research, and management. I have a doctorate in distance education and instructional technology, MS in biochemistry, MBA, and BS in chemistry. I have also taught and tutored many years in the disciplines of Physiology (AP, Human Biology, Applied AP), Kinesiology, and Mathematics. Most of my research has been in the areas of mentoring, online and face-to-face tutoring, and technology. My management background has been at the university and in two top 500 corporations. I look forward to using what I learned in these fields to help you reach your goals. Toward this end, my methods include helping students develop the skill sets they need to be successful in their course(s) and profession and making learning as fun as possible.
Finizio Dr. Finizio Richard: Advanced Anatomy and Physiology, Anatomy and Physiology I and II, Human Biology, and Applied Anatomy and Physiology.  After practicing Chiropractic for 30 years, I decided to add teaching to my work day and found it to be a calling. Graduate of New York Chiropractic College (1989) after attending William Paterson for a B.S. in Biology (1986). Dr. Figen Suchanek: My name is Dr. Figen Suchanek and I am a tutor at the SEC, where I help students with chemistry, physics, environmental science, and some math courses. My undergraduate, master and Ph.D. degrees are in Chemical Engineering with an emphasis on Environmental Engineering and Chemistry. I am currently a graduate assistant at SEC while pursuing my second master’s degree in Materials Chemistry. In addition, I teach General Chemistry I, II, and Chemistry of Cuisine Labs.  I look forward to meeting you and helping you better master your courses!
Fink W2 Prof. Gary Fink: B.S in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rochester... Studies music at Eastman School of Music and WPU... Adjunct for Physics and Music Departments and Ridgewood H.S... Percussionist, conductor and freelance recording engineer... worked at Radio City Music Hall and National Public Radio... Sound designer for over 75 Star Trek audiobooks. 
JCobbColor200px.jpg Prof. Janice Cobb:In addition to holding Secondary Education Teacher of the Social Studies certification in NY, NJ and also in Alaska, I have also extensive experience teaching at the College, and also at the University level, and am equally comfortable teaching hybrid, asynchronous (aka “fully online”) synchronous (through Zoom, Bright Space, Blackboard Collaborate Ultra and Microsoft Teams) as well as through face-to-face learning environments.

I have also extensive experience as an Academic Mentor for the WPU Science Enrichment Center, and have worked with students in the following courses: Anatomy and Physiology 1 and 2, Advanced Anatomy and Physiology, Human Adaptive Physiology, Biological Psychology, Psychopharmacology, Microbiology, Genetics, Coevolution of Humans and Pathogens, Archaeology, Sociology, Time Management and Stress Reduction skills.
ChrisH.jpg Christopher Haggar: Hi everyone! I am a student in the Post-Bacc program here at WPU. I completed my undergraduate degree in Public Health and would like to attend medical school. I am passionate about teaching and helping other succeed! More importantly, one of my biggest goals as a tutor is to help demystify the science courses that students tend to struggle with most by trying to make the material and concepts fun to learn. In addition, I would love to do nothing more than help minimize the anxiety students can have when it comes to learning about the sciences, much like I had/have, by helping them build confidence at the same time. Outside of school, I work as a medical scribe at an emergency department and I enjoy running, staying active, cooking and learning new things!

New tyler picture Tyler Sanchez: I graduated from William Paterson as a biology major and am currently a medical student at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine. I have been tutoring at the Science Enrichment Center since 2021, and the knowledge I have gained in medical school has only enhanced my ability as a tutor.  Outside of my academics, I am a current nationally and state certified EMT, and I have worked in EMS since 2018. My goal is to not only help students understand course material in order to succeed in their classes, but also spark their interest in the subject that they are learning about.
